Welcome! How nice to finally have you here. Everything is ready. You will find the place so familiar that you will feel like you have been there before. The details make the difference and here you will find many references to the most authentic Lucanian traditions, from the colours of Italy, to everything that makes Lucanians special. 

The love for design and for my city, the continuous travels between Matera and Milan, these two cities where I live, have led me to create an exclusive, magical place where I can welcome guests who wish to visit the historical heritage of the city of Matera. 

Description 

On the first floor of a period building, (1925), in the heart of the city of Matera and a few metres from the ancient Rioni Sassi, there is an original accommodation which has undergone profound renovation aimed at bringing to light its historical and original character. 

The “Lidia Chambre d’Hotes” residence consists of two suites which are facing each other. They are welcoming, and refined, and they are designed for customers looking for an ancient and refined place.

Each piece of furniture, from the iron and marble tables to the glass and brass lamps, from the mirrors to the 1950s ashtrays, has been carefully chosen, respecting the same criterion: the link between past and present that coexist in a game of balance and subtle intertwining. 

Thus, the natural teak parquet and the dust grey walls frame the vintage furniture and objects, which have been sought with passion by the owner Annamaria in the most disparate places: from grandmother’s attic, to flea markets and to the most vintage and cool furniture shops in Milan.
